Tomoko K. Ober. Tokyo Now
Tomoko K. OBER è nata a Niigata (Japan). Termina gli studi presso la Scuola di Belle Arti di Toyo (Tokyo) nel 1973 e gli studi di sociologia presso laYokoama University nel 1975. Dopo la sua prima personale a Tokyo nel 1974, Tomoko K.Ober decide di trasferirsi a vivere a Parigi, dove segue gli studi di Belle Arti presso lAtelier des Vosges. Da allora, i suoi lavori sono presenti in numerose collettive e personali in Francia, Giappone, Germania, Polonia, Utalia, Russia, Usa, Lithuania,Kazakhstan e molti sono gli articoli sulla stampa internazionale. Il suo studio principale si trova a Parigi dove lei vive dal 1975.
TOKYO NOW
Hiroshige (1797-1858) è famoso per i suoi disegni, stampe ed incisioni. Nato a Edo, antico nome per la città di Tokyo, è fra i più grandi artisti giapponesi e ha dipinto paesaggi, il mare in particolare e sopratutto le cinquantatre tappe della strada 53 che unisce Tokyo con Kyoto. Hiroshige ha stupito i grandi simbolisti europei e francesi, conquistati dalla moda giapponese (del « giapponismo »). Hanno acquistato le sue opere e si sono ispirati.
Hiroshige quindi ha influenzato i grandi simbolisti il cui movimento si afferma alla fine del XIX Secolo e segna artisticamente grandi pittori quali Odile Redon, Gauguin e Klimt a Vienna.
Dopo qualche anno anche Tomoko si interessa allopera di Hiroshige ma con un approcio moderno. Infatti le sue ultime tele dai colori vivaci raffigurano sia la rabbia del mare, così come le architetture tradizionali e recenti di Tokyo, strade dai colori tipici dellarte giapponese di ieri e di oggi.
